Pacaldo Angalot made it as Binibining Pilipinas - World
2006 and BP first runner-up 2009, respectively, we may have
another Boholana to bring the name of the province in the
country's most prestigious beauty tilt.
Statuesque Daisy Jean Luengas Quilicot proved that she possesses
what it takes to win the Miss Bohol Sandugo 2009.The tall
and confident lady impressed the distinguished panel of
judges composed of award-winning Boholano movie director
Maryo J. Delos Reyes, GMA-7's Ann Marie Tan, movie actress
Ana Capri, movie actor Julio Diaz, Southern California-based
Dr. Anita Cal Jackson, Belgian Marc Cools and Dan Ismael
Corral Lim.
Lila's Imme Cristy Igcalinos Corona was adjudged first runner-up
and Miss Talent, while Johana Feliz Mar Pilayre who represented
Powerhouse Training and Review Center won second runner-up,
Darling of the Press and Miss Caltex.
Other candidates were Baclayon's Erilka Ve Ortega, Balilihan's
Maria Tiffany Tabigue (Miss Friendship), Barangay Council
of Poblacion, Dauis' Bienna Ursula Bautista, Bilar's Cherry
Ancog, Calape's Manami Liezel Sobrabas, Candijay's Ethel
Marie Etchiban (Miss Aldea Image Model), Dimiao's Marlou
Jenilee Peteros (Miss Aldea Smile, Best in Production Number
and Best in Swimsuit), DPWH Bohol-III Guindulman's Genevieve
Parame (Miss Aldea Photogenic and Best in Evening Gown),
Duero's Mygie Obrador, Pilar's Grace Lingues, SK Provincial
Council of Bohol's Guldameer Malou Sombrio (Miss Byro Pharma
and Best in Interview) and WTG Construction's Orpha Rola.

TAGBILARAN CITY, 7 June 2009 - Boholanos await the
crowning of the province’s new ambassador of goodwill on
the July 18 pageant, the Bohol Sandugo Foundation Inc. (BSFI)
has set the deadline for registration of candidates and
screening on June 13.
The candidate must be of good moral character, as duly certified
by the Punong Barangay where she is residing; at least seventeen
(17) years of age and not older than twenty-three (23) on
the day of the pageant; single, never been married and not
a parent; of Boholano descent; at least 5’3 in height; at
least a high school student; possesses beauty of face and
figure and a poise and pleasant personality.
Whether sponsored by a Boholano organization, foundation,
firm or association; municipal or city government, school
or university, civic group or private business establishment,
the candidate must submit the duly-accomplished Miss Bohol
Sandugo entry form , photocopy of birth certificate, 3 copies
of half body glamour shot colored photograph 4” x 6” in
size for her to be officially registered. A representative
of a civic or non-government organization, or private business
establishment would need a letter of endorsement stating
her official candidacy and duly signed by the head or manager.
There shall be only one (1) candidate per sponsor.
Application for the beauty pageant shall be in writing and
signed by the candidate, her parent or guardian and her
sponsor, which, once accepted by the Committee, shall have
the force and effect of a contract between the signatories
and the Miss Bohol Sandugo Committee. A candidate must,
at her own expense or at the expense of the sponsor, be
willing to pay participation or registration fee in the
amount of P 6,000.00, either in cash or check payable to
Bohol Sandugo Foundation, Inc. (BSFI).
The candidates shall be judged in two (2) instances; first,
during the pre-pageant night (talent and swimwear competition)
on July 11 (Saturday) and the pageant night on July 18 (Saturday)
at 8 o’clock in the evening.
Pageant night at the Bohol Cultural Center will be divided
into the production number, swimsuit competition, gown competition
and interview portion, with the general criteria for judging
to be based on beauty of face and figure (40%), carriage,
poise and personality (30%), intelligence and wit (20%)
and talent - 10%, giving a total of 100%.
Aside from the Miss Bohol Sandugo 2009, first runner-up
and second runner-up, special awards to be given are the
Best in Production Number, Best in Gown Design, Best in
Swimsuit, Best in Gown, Miss Talent, Miss Friendship, Miss
Photogenic, Darling of the Press and other corporate awards.
Deadline for the submission of entries/application is on
June 13, 2009 at the Mayor’s Conference Room, 3rd Floor
of the New City Hall Building which is also the schedule
of screening. Applicants must be in casual wear (preferably
mini-skirt and sleeveless top). Inquiries regarding the
